Henkel Loctite was named a recipient of Intel Corporation's
Preferred Quality Supplier (PQS) award for outstanding performance
in providing products and services deemed essential to Intel's success.
The company was awarded for its efforts in supplying Intel with
die attach
adhesives and underfill
materials.
"Intel continually sets and then raises the standards
of quality expectation and excellence that motivates and drives
our continuous quality improvement aspirations," said Patrick
Trippel, president of Henkel Loctite. "We work diligently to
be rewarded with Intel's business, but in addition to revenue, another
key benefit derived from this close association is the evolution
of becoming a more valued supplier to our entire customer base."
"Henkel Loctite has a long history with Intel
and our Supplier Continuous Quality improvement Process. They were
recipients of the Intel SCQI 2001 award and the Intel PQS award
in 1997, 1998 and 2000," said Mark Kaltenbach, general manager,
Intel ATMO. "It continues to demonstrate dedication to quality
and commitment to improvement."
The PQS awards are part of Intel's Supplier Continuous Quality
Improvement (SCQI) process that encourages suppliers to strive for
excellence and continuous improvement. To qualify for PQS status,
suppliers must score 80 percent on a report card that assesses performance
and ability to meet cost, quality, availability, delivery, technology
and responsiveness goals. Suppliers must also manage and deliver
on a challenging improvement plan and a quality systems assessment.
